Nick's Story...
Nick is a 5 year old Maine Coon who is searching for a new home because his previous owner was allergic. He shared his home with a female cat who was a bit of a bully to him, so he is a bit timid and will take some time and patience for him to feel comfortable. He may get along with other cats, but a meet and greet would be suggested to make sure.
Nick is currently in foster care in Lexington, KY, please contact Kentucky SAVE for more information or to arrange to meet Nick.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nick, a Lexington Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Lexington, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Lexington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lexington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lexington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lexington paves the way for another one to be saved.
