FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID
Franklin Fluffertail is a sweet and gentle 7 year old schnauzer poodle mix. He is a charmer who will quickly steal your heart with his kind eyes and fluffy tail! He came to Fuzzy Pawz via a Texas transport to a local shelter and he’s loving Idaho so far!
He quickly adapted to his foster home and loves to follow his foster parents around begging for rubs. Franklin is a calm, gentle, easy going boy who would do well in most homes. However he does need a calm, quiet home with no kids under 15
While he is friendly and interested in other dogs, he doesn't do much playing and is much more interested in the attention of humans. He would be fine in a home with another dog with a similar gentle and calm personality. He is very smart and quickly figured out how to use a doggy door and has had no accidents in the house.
He loves slow walks where he can do a lot of sniffing. He also loves treats and makes very entertaining noises while eating.
He has a heart murmur and seems to have limited hearing. His heart does not seem to bother him at this time and all we have seen is a calmer, quieter dog with no crazy antics.
Because he does not respond to verbal commands it is best to not let him off leash- he is also very fast when he thinks he can get out of a door!
Franklin will need regular grooming every 6 weeks or so – that curly Poodle hair can mat quickly.
Franklin is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
His adoption fee is $75.00.
