Charlie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Charlie's Story...
I got the golden ticket! It says right here, “Redeemable for one fantastically wonderful forever family!” Boy oh boy! The thought of a forever home makes sooo happy I could wag my tail clean off! This couldn’t have come at a better time—things were looking pretty grim for me, but here I am safe and sound and waiting to cash in this golden ticket! Things are a bit scary for me right now, but I know that if you focus on positive things, you get positive results. So I will keep my head high and not let the muck drag me down. If there are any forever-family candidates out there reading this, I just want you to know that I get along great with other dogs, cats, and children- in fact I'd really love to have a canine friend at home! I am already housebroken and my crate training is coming along pretty swell, I just require a secure crate! Come join me on my tour through the incredible splendor that lies just beyond these shelter doors!

6 months old-34lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Beagle breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
