Kitto's Story...
My 12 siblings and I had a good life. We were fed every day and we would jump and play in the sun without a care in the world. One day there was no food, and my caretaker who always came out the same door with our food was not there. The next day was the same and then the next. It was so cold, and we were so hungry we were all trying for any scraps in the trash bin.

Some good people saw us and gave us food and put out some boxes for us. We cuddled together for warmth. Soon, the folks from ARC came and gathered us all up and we were placed in foster homes. I was so scared I just hid under the blanket and didn't move! It took my foster mom lots of time to get me to come out. Even though I was scared, I never did bite, scratch or even hiss. I'm a quiet kitten who needs a home full of love and patience.

Beauty and sweetness all rolled up in one--that's me. I'm still a bit reserved and it may take a little effort on your part to get my purr motor going; but once that happens I just keep purring and purring. I will nuzzle and try for more petting. A warm lap and a loving home will make me a very happy little girl.

Do you have a place for me in your heart? I'd love to show you how sweet I can be and I really want my fur-ever home.

Purrs, Kissable Kitto

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kitto, a Bulverde Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bulverde, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bulverde.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bulverde already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bulverde breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bulverde paves the way for another one to be saved.
