I am already spayed, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.
Sweet Elph is soooo precious! He is full of energy, but most of all, he is full of love to give everyone! Elph gets along well with others including cats !! He scares them a little with his excited barking and energy., but he won't hurt them. He thinks love makes the world go around! When we first spotted Elph in the cold, harsh very high kill shelter in rural Georgia , we knew we had to save him. He seemed so young, sweet and innocent. He was returned to the shelter because he had heartworm but he has since been treated and is considered a special needs adoption because of being post heartworm treatment. I was a good boy through my treatment and am ready to be adopted but the folks here want my new parents to be aware that they will need to restrict my exercise for a while so just leash walks for us and follow up with their own veterinarian to make sure my treatment was successful. He did well in the foster home with house-training so with consistency and structure he should do well in a home. He walked well on a leash and even liked to hold the leash in his mouth and walk myself. It is so funny! He loves to play with toys and run and jump. Please stop on by and visit and see if you would make a great team.
Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information, we encourage you to visit our shelter in person. Due to the high volume of interest, email and phone inquiries may not be returned on a daily basis. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! www.capeannanimalaid.org 978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk
