My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Rico. I'm an 11 year old, male, 5 lb, Chihuahua. I was surrendered by my former human, who could no longer care for me. I have been to Community Animal Hospital for comprehensive vetting. I have received: neutering, vaccinations, fecal analyis, physical and dental examinations, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and a much needed nail trim. I required extractions of 35 teeth. The five that could be saved have been scraped, polished and received a fluoride treatment. I am on soft food for a minimum of two weeks. I have some hair loss, attributed to flea infestation. I received a nice bath after arriving at The Ark today. I was surrendered with two other dogs, but we can be adopted separately or together. I am currently on pain medications, antibiotics and prophylactic anti fungal creme. I might be cleared for adoption after 3/31/17. My adoption fee is $100 to help cover the costs of my vetting.
