PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

3.24.2017 These babies were dumped on a busy highway. I good Samaritan came across them, but several of their siblings had already been run over by cars and killed. The 5 surviving puppies are now safe in rescue. We believe these babies are German Shepherd mixes. Some of the puppies also appear to be mixed with Husky. They appear to be about 11 weeks now (estimated DOB Jan. 6, 2017). These babies are very sweet and playful. Right now, they are pretty rambunctious because they don't get enough attention due to so many dogs in the rescue. So they will need a family who will be willing to train them to be gentle when they play. They are very smart and eager to learn, and with a little effort, they will make excellent companions.

UPDATE: it has recently been determined that Laithan is totally deaf. He is crate trained and he gets along very well with other dogs. He is a loving and sweet natured puppy who is eager to learn and is very smart.

These puppies are located in Arkansas but out of state transport is available, once adopted. For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com

About Adopt-A-Stray - MA

About Our Rescue Group...

Adopt-A-Stray Rescue was founded in Jan. 2010 by Kelley Prichard. Kelley saw a need for the unwanted pets at the local Animal Control to be given a chance at life. Adopt-A-Stray is a non profit (pending) Rescue group. We routinely pull dogs (and sometimes cats) from the euthanasia list at our local kill shelter. We also take in strays and owner surrenders as space/resources permit. Most of our available pets are located in ARkansas and are transported to the northeast once they are adopted or have a foster home to go to. The transporters we use most often are Got Orphans Transport (www.gotransporters.com) and Alpha Dog Transport (www.alphadogtransport.com). All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations and are seen by our vet prior to going to their new homes. Please email for more info on our adoption procedures.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Call for an appointment. Since we dont have a physical shelter, it is important that you call or email before trying to meet the pets. We have most of them in foster homes, some here in Arkansas and some in the Northeast.

Our Adoption Process...

I required that all pets in the home are current on veterinary care - this includes vaccinations and heartworm prevention, minimum.
I require that every pet in the home (ok, maybe not fish and reptiles) be spayed/neutered unless there is a valid medical reason not to.
I have an adoption application and contract for each pet.
My adoption fee varies, depending on what type of pet, breed, age, and medical condition.
