Facts about Mylie

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tortoiseshell
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 11201232
  • Hair: Short

My owner described me as a “typical” dilute torti if you can believe that!  Just because I can be a little sassy at times but want to cuddle with her at others and I take a long time to warm up to certain people, I didn’t know that was “typical”!  Whatever.  If they didn’t have those other creatures called dogs in the house, I might act a little differently.  I don’t like them and they don’t like me.  They think they’re privileged because they get to sleep in the bedroom but I’ve got news for them…when they’re in the bedroom or snoozing somewhere else, I come up from the basement living room and sleep by the fireplace!!  I do have another kitty buddy and he’s my homeboy…no, really, that’s his name!  He just ignores the dogs but they really creep me out so I’d prefer a new home without them.  I don’t think I’d like kids either unless they’re gentle and nice and would know when to leave me alone.  I am litter trained, indoor only, and microchipped and ready for a new place to lay my head – do you have a fireplace? I am 9 years old and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.

About Second Chance Companions

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 1993, Second Chance Companions is a 501(c) 3 non-profit pet organization dedicated to helping animals in SW Washington and the Portland Metro area.

We are a humane, no-kill organization staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers.

Although we do not run an independent shelter, we feed, care for, adopt out, and spay & neuter as many animals as possible. In addition, we educate the community and are always seeking volunteers and resources that help us to accomplish our mission.

We have a small number of foster homes available, but also work with private owners who keep their pets while looking for homes for them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have cats available for adoption all the time at the Vancouver Plaza and Gresham Petsmarts.

We also have adoption events most every weekend and often during the week too. See all of our currently scheduled events at: http://www.sccpets.com/pages/events.html
