My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Duke is a handsome fellow who must be a noble descendant. With his looks, honey brown eyes, and beaming personality, this boy is destined for greatness. At about 8 months old and 70 lbs, this boy is certainly impressive. Beyond his stellar looks, Duke is eager to learn and please. This boy is a quick learner. He pretty must knows what you say to him! Tell him to go to his room, no problem! Tell him to recite the number for Pi, no problem! Also, he loves other dogs and to play. Duke loves to play with his foster siblings and keeps his head high when they don't want to play with him. He will find a way to play without them! This boy has energy and a lust for adventure, he also loves a good car ride! He would love to be in an active home or one where he can play. However, Duke also knows when to calm down and curl up next to you or in a dog bed. He is too funny! This big ebony boy loves to sleep in his foster sister's bed. We should mention that this bed is designed for a 10lb dog. So this big mush curls right in. Mostly his butt just fits, but bless his heart for trying!

Unfortunately, Duke would do best in a home with no cats. While he does not mean to hurt them, his curiosity towards felines is just a bit too enthusiastic for their liking.

Duke originally came to us from a high kill shelter. He was an owner surrendered and was originally named 'Monster', need we say more about his former life?
