My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shakespeare is a handsome 45lb 2-3 year old caramel and cream pittie mix with adorable markings. Who found himself at a kill shelter after being picked up as a stray. When he was in the shelter, Shakespeare became lonely and melancholic. However, when he would see people, his face would light up and his tail would wag enthusiastically. When someone would walk away, he would whimper and bow his head, resuming to his despondent state. We couldn't help but step in and rescue him.

Shakespeare is doing great in his temp foster home. He gets along well with other dogs (he loves his foster fur brother), all humans, and cats! With cats, Shakespeare is curious. However, he also enjoys watching him from a distance- usually just ignoring him. This boy is a real treasure! He is just oh so loving, you can tell he is making up for lost time and a past void of love! This boy is so expressive; he will place his paw on his foster mom and ask for pets. He looks like a cat the way he uses his front paws to ask for a loving rub. When meeting new people, Shakespeare will go right up to them and solicit belly rubs and admiration.

With love and care, Shakespeare now stands tall and does not walk- he prances! While adult humans are busy with daily chores and work, Shakespeare loves to spend time with his human foster siblings (ages 9 and up). He also enjoys sitting on the porch and cuddling on the couch watching TV. Shakespeare is really very gentle. Really, we cannot say enough good things about him.

Shakespeare will make a wonderful addition into any home!
