Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Kona
Breed: Lab/Chesapeake mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Kona is a 2 year old female Lab/Chesapeake mix who was sadly surrendered by her owner due to not being able to care for her. She did come to us heartworm positive, which is being treated. Kona is used to living with kids, dogs, and cats, and is house trained. Kona loves walks and car rides, and has an easy going attitude with meeting new people and other pets. Kona has permanent worry wrinkles on her face that are absolutely adorable.
This HHK9 canine has tested positive for a heartworm or tick borne disease and treatment will be done through our vet before an adoption is finalized, so that we can do our part to ensure a healthy happy dog joins your home. Heartworm treatment consists of a 2 day treatment at the vet followed by 4 weeks of restricted activity, and placement timing is on an individual case by case at the comfort level of the foster and adopter. Tick diseases are treated through oral antibiotics sent home with an adopter by the rescue.
Requirements: No special requirements.
You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.
