Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Mia* is a stunning 1 year old (possibly a bit younger), female, purebred Doberman Pinscher who found herself in the shelter by no fault of her own. She is very active, playful, inquisitive, and gets along wonderfully with big and small dogs - she LOVES to play. She is OK with dog-savvy cats, but will chase if they run. She can be aloof and take a few minutes to warm up to people, but is friendly with all. However, due to her size, we recommend older children as she can easily knock over little ones.
She can be stubborn and still has puppy-like tendencies like being mouthy, running off with slippers, and playing with things she shouldn't, so we are looking for a family that will enroll her in obedience training and provide a loving, but structured home for her. She has a moderate to high energy level and will need an active home to keep her busy and happy - ideally with another large, playful dog. She is agile and will make an excellent running partner.
*Mia* walks OK on a leash and is working on house-training and crate-training. She does get carsick so we are working on that as well. If you are interested in *Mia*, please send us an e-mail with details of your family, home, and lifestyle. Please thoroughly research the Doberman Pinscher breed regarding their general disposition and potential health issues before inquiring. *Mia* will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.
Please contact Patricia at olveiry@yahoo.com. A home visit will be required prior to adoption.
