Hi! I'm Max! My owners can no longer take care of me so I'm now looking for my new forever home! Yes, I'm a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart! Right now I have to stay in a 12 x 12 enclosure but I hope to get a forever home with a BIG fenced in yard where I can stretch my legs and put my ears in the wind! I'd love to be a house dog and have my own dog bed to sleep on at night. Or, if you prefer, I could sleep snuggled up next to someone! I'm approx. 5 years old and approx. 80 solid pounds(3/23). I'm extremely sweet, loving, friendly and playful. I'm well socialized and have never met a stranger! You'll see how awesome I am in my video! I'm great with kids and other dogs. I live to play! I really love to play with kids! I haven't been tested with cats. I tend to bark at cows and I find chickens to be very delicious! I'm highly intelligent and mind well. I will be easy to house train! I'm eager to please and know some commands. I love to play fetch and go for car rides. I ride well. I have a very happy go lucky, gentle and submissive temperament. I'm always happy and my tail is always wagging! I really enjoy being petted and loved on. The more love and attention I get, the better! I have a medium energy level. All pets come with up-to-date vaccines, deworming, microchip, and health certificate from veterinarian within 48-72 hrs of transport. All pets come from NC/VA (our euthanasia rate is approx 85%) and must be quarantined (to ensure health) prior to leaving the state. We go ahead and post them in hopes of them having a home ready and waiting for them to go, once their quarantine period is over. We also adopt into Canada.
