About Scarlett
Hi there everyone! My name is Scarlett and I DO live up to my name! I’m a gorgeous tiny (4 pounds) black and white tuxedoed lady. I didn’t get such a terrific start in life and have a few scars to prove it, but I’ve figured out this house cat thing. It’s an all you can eat, all you can sleep and all you can play game. Wow, what else could a gal ask for? Errrr well maybe just one more thing, a home to call all my very own. My own parent(s) to continue teaching me the trust thing and having patience when I get scared. My foster parents love me and are great to me, but I must share them will lots of other kitties. I sure wish I could be one of two or three kitties from now on. I have a great brother, Rhett and I can see me living out my life with him. I love other cats so I can also see myself living with another kitty. My foster has made sure I have been tested for FIV/FeLv and that was a success. I have also already been spayed and am current on my shots. I really don’t take up much room so maybe you could find it in your heart to take me home with you? I promise to be good and to love you unconditionally forever. Call NOW for more information on this tiny package of pure love: Crystal.aarf@gmail.com or 336-253-8001.

You can meet and visit with many of our cats at the AARF House (311 Harvey St, Winston Salem) during our adoption fair hours. Go to www.aarfanimals.org for information about our adoption fair hours and adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarlett, a Winston-Salem Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
