My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lovelina, Riot, and Wolfie arrived together from a home where one of the residents was not treating them well, and not seeking medical attention for Riot and Lovelina when needed. Lovelina, who is about 1 year old, got the worst of it and arrived with a badly broken femur, apparently the result of being thrown off of the couch. We had our veterinarian do the needed surgery to repair Lovelina's leg, and she is now on what she views as ENDLESS BED REST, confined most of the time to a kennel to keep her from reinjuring the leg as it heals. She should be good as new in a couple of months, and says she is looking forward to being allowed to do important cat things again, like running and jumping and playing. She has gorgeous eyes with dramatic eyeliner that gives her the look of a wild cat - in her heart, she is a lynx, but she is also a cuddly and affectionate girl. Lovelina is used to being an indoor-only cat and will do best remaining indoors, as she never learned about cars or hawks or coyotes.

We think Lovelina will fit in well with pretty much any family, and should be a fun and frisky addition to the family. If adopted before fully healed, the family should be prepared to keep her confined until her healing is complete, and should use extreme care in handling (so, no toddler squeezes please).

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Lovelina is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
