Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Benny was dumped by someone heartless in a State Park in Louisiana. A kind park ranger took him in and sent him to a shelter where he would not die from predators or the elements. We rescued this little guy and found out he had heartworm, but otherwise is perfectly fine. He is being treated and is otherwise fully vetted.
Benny is about a year old and only weighs 11 lbs. He is a very social little guy who gets along with everyone he meets! He is being fostered with other dogs and loves them, and gets along well with cats also. He hasn't met anyone younger than a teenage, but we think he will be fine with kids too. He is described as being very social and a quiet little guy, fun to be around, and a great addition to his foster home! We are not at all sure what his breed mix is - one vet listed him as a Yorkie mix, another vet listed him as a poodle mix, and another says terrier mix. But we do know whatever he is, he is CUTE! We just don't guarantee any breeds!
Benny has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed, and microchipped. He will be fully healthy and ready for adoption in early May, 2017. He is housebroken, rides well in a car, and walks well on a leash. He prefers the company of people and dogs that will play with him, and he loves his toys.
Benny will be available for visiting this Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the Petco at 545 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, Md from 12pm-3pm. Applications sent in ahead of the adoption event preferred!
