ADOPTION PENDING. Take the time to read PonYo's bio thoroughly. He is available for adoption in SOUTHERN CAL ONLY FROM SANTA BARBARA DOWN TO SAN DIEGO. NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD A CORGI BEFORE, THIS DOG NEEDS A CORGI SAVVY MATURE HOME. NO TODDLERS OR SMALL FRY AND NO VISITING GRANDKIDS UNDER AGE 10 WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS OUT OF STATE. General Health :He is generally healthy. No major surgeries other than
infection by ant. However, his ears were punctured by his own dad who did
not recognize when we boarded him at the breeder's home. Breeder did not
even take care of his wound so we did not even contact them before we
decided to find him a new home. Little eyelid stitch but cannot really tell.
Personality :He is typical corgi with active, hyper, playable character.
Behavior with Children :He has not really been with children before. Owner had Ponyo since he was 8 weeks old, then they started their human family and the baby is now 15 months old.
Behavior with other animals :He is generally fine with small dogs, but had
bad experiences from big dogs like German shepherd so does not like big
dogs. However, he used to play in a dog park with big dogs before.
Aggressive Behavior :When we vacuum, he tries to bite it; I understand that
many dogs do not like of its sound. When someone knocks on a door, of
course, he barks, and when stranger walks inside of home as all dogs do
mostly.
Type of Toys :Throwing a wood stick is one of this favorites playtime
session.
Obedience training :No AND ADOPTER WOULD HAVE TO AGREE TO START PONYO IN A GROUP CLASS BASIC OBEDIENCE FOR TRAINING AND SOCIALIZATION. RIGHT NOW THE OWNERS DO LIVE IN A HOUSE BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR 15 MONTH OLD TODDLER AND TWO SNAP INCIDENTS WITH PONYO, THEY HAVE HIM EITHER IN THE YARD OR IN THE BATHROOM. HE IS NOT GOING FOR WALKS OR HAVING MUCH FUN THESE DAYS. HIS OWNERS WANT MORE FOR HIM THAN THEY CAN GIVE NOW.
Needs new home because :Owners have a 15 MONTH OLD SON and wife is having ficult time. Husband travels frequently so it is
hard for his wife to take him out as necessary. The center of attention is on a
baby. Adoption process: completion of a pre adopt ap, homecheck, contract, trial period and followup visit. Donation to rescue.
