My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please read the entire post in order to understand our adoption process...

Gus is in foster care in East Tennessee and will be transported to New England upon adoption. Due to Transport requirements , pups must have a series of puppy shots and be at least 9 weeks of age. Gus will not fulfill that requirement until the weekend of 4/7/17.

Gus is currently 8 weeks old. His dad is a redbone coonhound (about 40 lbs) and mom is a miniature schnauzer (about 20 lbs)

. He will be a medium sized dog,. He has a great personality and is an active pup. Gus has a bit of schnauzer scruffiness on his face and hound floppy ears. VIDEO UPON REQUEST

Please NO apartments or condos. No children under the age of 8. In order to properly housebreak a pup, it should not be left alone over 4 hrs. A fenced yard would be a bonus as hounds are ruled by their noses and may run off if off leash.

To apply for adoption please complete our online application at deaddogswalkingtn.com Once received, a rescue rep will contact you immediacy. Dogs arrive via Alpha Dog Transport at one of their stops in NJ, PA, CT, ME or VT. They charge $140 for their services which is paid when you claim your pup. They also hand off all vet records showing vaccinations, worming, etc. An adoption fee will also apply.
