Pixie's Story...
If there was an option on Adopt-A-Pet for "extra-small," that would perfectly describe me. I am a tiny teacup Chihuahua, weighing in just around 4 lbs. I get along with other dogs but prefer people and my ideal situation is one where I can be held and cuddled all day! Due to my diminutive size, I am looking for a home without small children. I am about 6 years old and was confiscated from a bad situation where I was not taken care of properly. Now that I'm fully vetted, I can't wait to find a forever home.

If you are interested in adopting me, please apply online at www.orphanannierescue.org. My adoption fee is $250, which includes my spay, shots, heartworm testing, and microchipping.

I am available for adoption in Georgia only.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Atlanta Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
