My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a new best friend? Someone to chat about regarding anything and every thing? Then, meet Philip! Amazing Philip is an adorable, light hearted, 2 year old 50 lb bulldog pittie mix. He will eagerly listen to what you have to say, and chat right back to you with the most comical noises, followed by the sweetest kisses! Silly and happy to be alive, Phillip will take his leash in his mouth and prance along next to you. Philip wants to see everything that goes on. He will climb on his dog house and try with all his might to see over the fence. Nothing gets by this yenta boy! Philip is a benevolent, forgiving, resilient boy who just loves affection! Clearly, he making up for lost time. What this boy endured in his life will make you cringe. We don't know the full details, but he was seized from his owner and taken to the shelter as 'evidence'. His former subhumans were charged with SEVEN counts of animal cruelty! What could they have done to this poor angel. We know of one thing, starvation. Philip was an emaciated skeleton when we rescued him. Even with such deprivation, Philip is so good around food, showing no possessive or aggressive behaviors. It's a miracle, really. In fact, throughout it all, Philip has shown nothing but tenderness and fondness to all those he's met.

Philip is dog and cat friendly. In all honesty, it is hard to get a picture that does this boy justice. Anytime we try to photograph him, he is wiggling and too busy trying to kiss and lean into you.
