My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy posting . Please contact John Walker, whose email is in this listing. (jeepfisher@gmail.com)

She is our 5 year -old Tibetan Terrier and we are looking to re-home her to a place that is more suitable for her needs. She has become a wanderer and we are afraid that something may happen to her. She has developed this habit out of her natural curiosity and unfortunately the fact that we live in a more rural area, the threat of coyote and lion attack or hit by a car makes it a bit dangerous for her. Logistically, fencing is not an option and we have tried tethering her however this isn’t fair for her to be tied while our other dog is able to move freely.

Lucy is housebroke and spayed. She is very personable and loves to talk. She enjoys rides in the car as well as going on walks and adventures. We have had her hiking in the backcountry where she is very good at staying with the group. She has her spot in the house where she is to sit while inside and is able to interact with the family. She does well with cats and most other dogs. There is usually an initial “hey I’m here “ bravado when meeting a new dog but after that, she gets along well.

Candidates to adopt her in must meet our criteria of being able to care for her and meet her grooming needs. If left un-groomed, her hair can get quite long and needs brushing. She eats Fromm food from Wild About Pets in Hamilton. She needs to be in a fenced yard and we will not send her to anyone that doesn’t have this. She has a great life here however I want her to have a better situation that affords her some more freedom.

Please email me at the address below and we can set a meetup. She is available for immediate re-homing, however, can hold her till mid-April if needed.
