My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✰✰ HUEY Male 2 years & AVAILABLE - for more photos of HUEY please click http://norcalbcrescue.org/huey_2017.html ✰✰

A great big hello to HUEY! This wonderful, energetic two-year old boy is delightful and fun. He likes a bit of ball and loves to wrestle & play chase with two other young foster dogs at his foster home. HUEY is affectionate and loving. At 50 pounds he may exceed lap dog status, but will gladly climb aboard if encouraged! He is curious about PuckleCat, but respectful. Cat and dog will do a nose-to-nose then one or the other will turn away, as if to indicate, “nothing doing here”. HUEY is housebroken and walks well on leash.

With his smooth, easy care coat and happy-go-lucky attitude HUEY is fun to have around. He can't get enough petting, loves to be groomed and is cheerful and cooperative in the bath. Our boy is blooming with confidence and adapted to crating easily. He's quiet overnight in his crate and outside is not an excessive barker. He loves to chew deer antlers provided in his foster home and has only chewed items presented to him for entertainment. He hasn't proven to be a digger and likes to hang out with mom when she is pulling weeds and doing yard work.

HUEY gets along well with all of the other dogs at his foster home. In particular, he has helped a shy foster mate to come out his shell and gain confidence. At the end of play day, HUEY will curl up quietly at your feet or lie below you while you watch a movie from the sofa. With all of this high praise we do have to report he has also counter-surfed a couple of times including knocking a bowl off the counter so he’s not perfect, but he is a great dog, ready to meet his new family! If you can provide HUEY with the love and attention deserving of this fine boy please complete an adoption application and let us know of your interest in him. HUEY’s people will then be in touch!

HUEY is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (http://norcalbcrescue.org/adopt_info.html) and wish to enquire about HUEY, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

HUEY is being fostered in Auburn in Placer County, California.
