My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Initial Bio 3/27/17 Barney is now a United Yorkie Rescue boy. This adorable Yorkie pup is about 3 years old. He is 8.6 pounds. Barney is being fostered in Leesburg, FL.

Barney’s adoption fee is $400 and includes all vetting (neuter/spay, dental cleaning, immunizations, microchip and chip registration). A Vet reference, personal references, and home visit are required for adoption. You may apply to adopt Barney by going to our website at www.unitedyorkierescue.org and completing the adoption application located on our home page.

Barney is the sweetest, most playful dog ever. It took him no time to join in the fun and games with his foster fur siblings. You would never ever know that Barney recently has is left hind leg amputated. His surgery is all healed and Barney doesn't miss that leg at all. He runs, he goes up and down the stairs, and he still believes he has four legs like always. Once Barney's hair on his left hind side grows back in, you will never know there is no leg there. There is no stopping bouncing Barney.

Barney is already neutered, fully vaccinated, and will be ready to go to his forever home soon.

Since Barney just arrived at his foster home, his foster parents are not sure if he is house trained, but they do know he did great in the car and he has a good appetite. They also already know that the right home for Barney would be one with another young dog to play with and a fenced yard to run around in. He really does love to play, run, and explore.

There is more to know about Barney so check back soon. Don't let the loss of that leg scare you away. This is one great, friendly, happy, adorable, almost perfect little fellow.
