Lacey's Story...
Lacey is a 6 month old Boxer/ Border Collie mix.
She's a great dog. Lacey is a very very submissive dog. She was owner surrender to the pound. She loves to run and play like she is just a pup. Lacey is crate trained, house trained and is excellent on a leash. She is a petite girl so won't be much larger. She loves to cuddle, play and eat. She is very dog friendly. Lacey is a little shy at first with new people but is becoming more confident daily. She's very friendly and social. She would be a great therapy dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacey, a Austin Boxer/Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Border Collie for sale in Austin, or seeking a Boxer/Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Border Collie breeders who help with Boxer/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
