My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Aspen is a 13 month old, 80 pound German Shepherd mix whose personality is strongly like that of a shepherd. Alert, smart as whip and constantly monitoring her humans, Aspen is a great dog to have if you want an interactive companion.to share your life with.

Aspen was owner-surrendered after a FB post stated that she would be euthanized the following day if no home was found because they didn't want to spend the time to properly train her.. Frankly, it didn't take much time to train her at all. She lived with a mother and father and several children. When she first arrived to our rescue, poor Aspen was clearly heartbroken....wondering what she did so wrong and why they didn't love her anymore. But as soon as she realized she was with friends, kids, cats and folks who would pay attention to her......she perked up in no time!

Now a happy girl, Aspen likes her stuffies, running in the yard and generally showing off her one bent ear. However, she once thought her foster momma was in danger and she didn't hesitate to let the man screaming at them, know that she was displeased.

If you would like to add Aspen to your household and can guarantee that your home will be her last, please go to https://goo.gl/forms/Ribzmzd7ReNJJ7YD3
and complete an application to adopt.
Details on our adoption process can be found at www.impawsable.petfinder.com

Aspen would be best placed in a home with previous GSD experience. She does chase (herd) kitties, but hasn't tasted one yet. She lives with a couple of kitties, 2 young, active boys and several dogs. Her adoption fee is $400.
