Hi I'm Franklin and here's my story! Plenty of Pit Bulls was contacted by animal services about me back in March because I was brought in as a stray and had very obviously experienced some bad things in my life up until that point  and was seriously neglected. I was so skinny you could see all my ribs! The nice people at POPB took me in and placed me in a foster home where I am learning how to be a dog and I'm getting lots of food! I'm still a bit scared of the outside world, but I am learning quickly with the help of yummy treats! My foster mom always tells me what a "good boy" I am! I love other dogs and I think they help me learn faster what being a house dog means! So far I've learned what toys are and that the dog bed is comfy to sleep on! Foster mom says she will continue to post updates about my progress! I hope you considering adopting me so I can have a forever family. Foster mom says the ones you get to see transform are always the most special!

Update 5/16: I have been doing fantastic!! I love being a dog and having humans that care about me! I am now crate trained and almost fully house trained! I loveeee playing with toys and wrestling and playing with other dogs! I have also learned "sit" and "down"! I have not met a person I haven't liked and I would love to join your family so I can have a forever home!

Update 5/23: I spent a few days at a temporary fosters house and we found out that I get along great with both large and small dogs! I hung out with a mastiff and a dauchshund that week and I loved it!!

Update 6/25: Foster mom says I have transformed into the most perfect dog ever! I am fully house trained and crate trained and I'm not scared of everything anymore! I am extremely sweet and loving and cuddly and I get along with all dogs! I am not mean to cats, but I do sometimes chase them. I have gained 15 pounds since foster mom met me at the shelter (so I'm now right at 50 pounds), and my skin and coat are smooth and healthy! I am such a good dog and can't wait to meet my forever family!

Update 7/12: I went on TWO trail walks in Gainesville last week and I LOVED IT! I have much more confidence walking through the woods than I do walking through neighborhoods or busy areas. I loved exploring and sniffing all the plants and trees and chasing lizards. I even got to wade in the creek, which was a lot of fun!
