Zinnia's Story...
Zinnia and Azalea were found as strays living under an abandoned trailer recently, so we’re still getting to know them, but the most obvious thing is that they are very, very bonded, so they must be adopted together. They’re both young and sweet and confused how they ended up here, but each day they become surer of the world, and they've proven to be extremely affectionate, loving girls. They love to run and play and give sweet little kisses, and they already appear housetrained as well as good on leash and knowing "sit" and "shake." So far they do well with other dogs and cats, but they won’t be ready for adoption until they are fully vetted – spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Despite all they’ve been through, these girls are just a breath of fresh air!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zinnia, a Tioga Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Tioga, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Tioga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tioga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tioga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tioga paves the way for another one to be saved.
