Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kay (aka Finley) is truly one of a kind and exceeds the beauty of the Hungarian Vizsla. Kay has the independent spirit of the pointing breeds and yet, she’s very devoted to her human companion(s). Kay is very agile, smart and thrives on vigorous exercise and athletic activities, anything less would diminish her spirit. Kay would flourish with a younger, active owner where she can display her true personality and reach her highest performance goals. After Kay exerts her energy, she has a wonderful “off switch"; she loves nothing more than to curl up to take a nap, chew on her favorite bone or get a good belly rub.
Kay is very affectionate, attentive and possesses good manners. She is housebroken, crate trained but needs reminders not to pull on lead. She rides nicely in the car either crated or tethered to the rear seat. Kay does not display any aggression toward humans, dogs or other animals; nor are there any signs of food/treat/toy guarding or aggression.
Kay enjoys playing a good game of chase with her four-legged friends and she can most certainly out run the best of them! She will require a young, moderate to high energy playmate to keep up with her.
Kay is curious but cautious of the frisky felines (slow introductions are required). She should only be placed with older children (15+) or active adults only due to her play style and exercise requirements.
Kay is an exceptional dog given the opportunity to find the perfect forever home. We can only hope that one special family can appreciate her breed make-up and allow her to flourish into the wonderful companion and sporting dog, she is meant to be.
To meet Kay, please contact the Farley Foundation at Adopt4leggeds@aol.com or 910-315-9569. Thank you for wanting to adopt a homeless animal in need and for giving this special gal a second chance at life.
