"Shadow is The.Perfect.Cat. How do I know? I was fortunate to have had him in my home for two weeks this month. You see, I was going to be his adoptive mom - and our home was going to be his forever home.
As fate would have it - my daughter had a heretofore unknown 'severe' cat allergy. With great anguish and tears, we had to return him to The Cat Network. I was amazed at just how quickly I fell in love with him. My daughter and I saw Shadow at a local Petco - I was immediately struck by his gorgeous all-gray coat and beautiful green eyes. He was also just so stately -a handsome cat indeed. We were told that Shadow was the beloved pet of a gentleman who died unexpectedly around Christmas - leaving Shadow without a forever home. We truly thought that with us, he had found his forever family.
Shadow did not take long at all to feel safe in our home - and warmed to me and my daughter within a day or two. He immediately used his litter box and also faithfully used his cardboard for scratching and not once made so much as an attempt to scratch the furniture- he is a true gentleman. We discovered that Shadow loves to be brushed and will even roll over on his back and allow his tummy to be brushed! Sweet Shadow has sadly lost two owners since Christmas. I cannot express how very deserving he is of a loving, forever family. He may be eight (his birthday is on Christmas Day!) but he is a young, beautiful eight years old. But for my daughter's allergies he would be, at this moment, safe and snug in his forever home."
