Ragetti's Story...
Ragetti came to us a couple months ago (January 2017.). He was trapped, but very friendly. He was in pretty bad shape and missing an eye. Also turns out he may be related to a 17 year old cat I personally have (long story.). For a cat missing an eye, and also very sick, he is the most affectionate kitty. We had to wait to get him neutered and his eye sewn shut because of how sick he was, however he was neutered 3/24 and also had his eye sewn closed so now he looks like he's permanently winking. He is an indoor cat only. It's important to make sure his eye doesn't get infected. Ragetti has no clue he only has one eye and he definitely knows he's special. He needs a family with children as he has tons of love to give so many people.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ragetti, a Goshen Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Goshen, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Goshen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Goshen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Goshen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Goshen paves the way for another one to be saved.
