Spot is a very happy and exuberant beagle about 3-6 years old (we are calling him 5!) and a male. He dislikes cats but gets along with dogs as a rule. He came to us as a rescue from a good samaritan who found him with severe lacerations. He might not be ideal for young children because he likes to jump up for attention and could knock a child over with his excitement. However, we have not tested him around infants or toddlers and don't know for sure.... But he loves people, and he seems perfect for those that are slightly older: a very active 11-year-old was happily playing and dancing with him. He is a beagle and will howl and bay some! He will also kiss you and just loves attention and petting and belly rubs. We know he did not have much of a family life before and was outside alone -- penned or chained most of the time. We think he is a wonderful dog and has a loving personality. Really, he just wants to be a part of someone's family. Thank you so much for any assistance in finding this good boy a home!
