My family recently adopted Kimmy, an approximately two-year-old, 65-pound, spayed, brindle pitbull/boxer mix, from a kennel. She was gentle with my infant baby at first, but started being rough with her after a while. She does great with bigger kids, though. She was also good with my 2 other dogs, but now she doesn't get along with my older dog and will even make her yipe in pain from hurting her. Whoever owned her, before we adopted her from the kennel, they didn't train her AT ALL(which isn't an issue for me, as I am used to cleaning up messes frequently) and they abused her. She has gained about 10lbs since we have had her, she was pretty thin when we got her. So yes, Kimmy has her flaws, but she still deserves a loving home, one that will fit her needs.
Kimmy needs a family where she is the only dog, and there aren't any babies or toddlers around for her to knock over, but she does get along with big kids. She needs people who have an extreme amount of patience and time as she is not potty trained and doesn't know any commands at all. She needs a fenced in yard where she can release her energy because she is high strung and very playful. She is used to being allowed on furniture and cuddling up against us, she does love to snuggle and lick. Kimmy is a very persistent dog, she will keep doing what she is doing no matter how many times you tell her "no" because she doesn't know any better. She is also the type of dog who will run away if let off leash in an open area.
I sincerely wish that Kimmy got along with my other dog, because she may need a TON of work, but she is truly amazing nonetheless. I really hope I can find her a great home; She deserves one.
(Sorry about the second picture of my baby, it says it is deleted but it keeps showing up anyways)
