Hi, I'm Cookie!
This is my story and how I ended up on this site looking for a forever family.
I was abandoned when my family moved and left me behind to fend for myself. I took refuge under the front porch and made that my home. The neighbors fed me for over a month and I was just a street dog roaming around all day. Then, my lucky day came when SOAR was checking on two chained dogs next door and discovered me. They took me in, groomed me, and took me to the vet and I had to get checked out and all my vaccinations. I'm on great health, but I am blind in my left eye, but that's no big deal to me. I like to play, and do all the same things other dogs do. My tail also hangs low and only I know the answer to these thing, but the Dr. thinks I was hit by a car at some point and caused never damage in that area and he thinks the impact caused my left eye to rupture, causing my blindness in it. I can't tell you if that's right or not, my lips are sealed:)
SOAR gave me the name Cookie, because, well, who doesn't like cookies? And they say I'm sweet just like them too. I only weigh 13 pounds, I get along great with all other dogs, big or small and people too. I can be a little leary of humans at first if they try to pick me up, but I don't bite. I like to snuggle up in the nice warm bed now that I live indoors and I'm low maintenance.
I think I would feel safer in a home without small children who may be too rough with me. But, I'm good with all dogs and cats.
