My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are so excited to announce that our boy, Rocco, is going through12 weeks (March-June) of education with LEASH, the training program at WKCC (Western KY Correctional Complex) at Fredonia, KY. A big thank you to Mary Hall Ruddiman Canine Shelter for arranging this! While there, he will learn basic commands, such as sit, stay, heel. He will also be crate, leash, and potty trained. He has been neutered, is fully vetted (heartworm negative) and is on flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Rocco is a friendly, happy guy who loves to play and has never met a stranger. He is about a year old, weighs 34 pounds, and our best guess as to his breed is Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler)/Beagle with maybe a little Shepherd thrown it. Whatever he is, he makes it work. He is an original and is beautifully marked. His adoption fee is $75 (a bargain!) and we like to keep adoptions within a 100 radius of Princeton, KY.
