Poor Bee, will he EVER find his forever home? He has been in foster care with his foster family since he was 4-6 weeks old. He is frisky and full of fun in his foster family but is scared of new people and new situations so will require an adopter that will allow him plenty of time to adjust. (Updated on 4-7-11).
Bee's story... Bee is an 2 yr old Lab mix who, along with his siblings, was brought into a high kill shelter by his owners(he is about 40 pds right now). He loves playing with his brothers and sisters in the foster familys pond and with toys . Bee is still young and a bit shy so will require a home to help him with his confidence and doggy manners. Also he is working on his leash walking and needs a family that will help him contine this. He is neutered and is up to date on all shots and preventions. His fee will be $100.00.

Rescue Group Info...
We at Death Row Doggies are committed to rescuing and rehoming the dogs who are currently on death row in high kill shelters. We are against euthanasia of companion animals and truly believe that there is a forever home for every dog. We are forever committed to the dogs in our care and will provide them a loving home until they are adopted.
We rescue and foster animals for our local Humane Societies which are considered high kill shelters. Many of the animals we have in foster care were next on the list to be put to sleep. Largely due to lack of room at the shelter. All have their own sad story. The shelter takes in several animals daily and unfortunately cannot adopt out as many as they accept. We keep between 20-30 dogs in foster care at a time, all ages, sizes and breeds. They are all under our personal care at a private home. Whenever we adopt a dog we go and rescue another from the shelter to replace it. Also, all of the adoption fees that we collect goes to the shelter where the animal was rescued from. Our rescue only accepts animals from our local shelters. We simply do not have the funding to take in owner surrenders or strays. If for some reason we do have space available we require the animal to be FULLY vetted(including spay/neuter) or for you to make a donation for us to get them up to date. Please keep in mind that rescuing animals is not cheap and most of the funds come from our own pockets! Our adoption fees hardly cover our expenses.
All of animals are in private foster homes. To meet a pet, please call or email and we can arrange something. Please, no calls later than 8:00pm,CST. E-mails are usually returned quicker than by phone.
To adopt a pet you must fill out an adoption contract(if interested, we can email a copy to look over). The fees range from $100.00 or higher depending on what services they have had done. The fee covers mandatory spaying/neutering, worming, Distemper/Parvo(DA2PPv) shot(s), Rabies, Heartworm testing and prevention, Bordetella vaccine, Frontline. Also, all of the adoption fees that we collect goes to the shelter where the animal was rescued from. We are super picky about the animals we foster and want them to have a forever home. We will only do an adoption if it is the right situation for the dog!
