Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DEUCE is a fantastic dog who is being cared for by one of our trusted rescue partners. DEUCE is NOT a Woof River dog so contacting us will not be of any help. Please contact DEUCE's adoption coordinator by emailing annacrowgordon@gmail.com. She is happy to send an adoption application or answer any questions that are not answered in his biography.
Deuce is a beautiful boy that has come a long way since he came into rescue and placed with his foster family. His foster family has helped him learn what expectations a furever family may have, and he's got the hang of it! He is house trained, crate trained, comes when called, and doesn't beg for food. His foster family has an electric fence, and Deuce respects those boundaries well.
Deuce has an exuberance for life but at the same time wants to please his foster family so he is attentive to their direction. For example, if he is super excited he will hold his sit, but he does a little happy tap dance with his front feet. He is thrilled to see absolutely everyone and is fantastic with older children. He may have a little too much energy for younger children unless your family has plenty of experience with young children and young medium to large pups.
Deuce shares his foster home with a large adult resident dog and another large 18 month old foster dog. He has also spent time around quite a few puppies and done very well. Deuce is a happy goofball with no aggression. He can thrive in either a single dog home or a home with other dog friends. However, a dog who is easily annoyed by other dog probably wouldn't be the best forever sibling.
Deuce never runs out of love to give and will fill the hearts of his forever family for a lifetime.
DEUCE has been neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and the cost of his transport once adopted.
For an adoption application on DEUCE please email annacrowgordon@gmail.com.
Please do not contact Woof River. He is being cared for by us but by another wonderful group in our area.
Deuce, like all the Woof River dogs, lives in the south (he is in Oxford, MS) and will remain in with his loving foster family until he is adopted. Once adopted, he will travel via one of our transport partners to his new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with local veterinarians and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
