Murphy's Story...
Say hello to our little lab mix girl, Murphy. She is absolutely adorable and has an awesome, outgoing personality to match. She is about 9 weeks old and weighs in at 10 pounds. She is a bundle of silly energy that loves to run, play and explore the world around her. She is a fun little girl that would do well with an active family that can keep up with her. If you are looking to add a little energy to your life, this is the girl for you!

**All Compassion in Action dogs must be adopted by families willing to have their pets be a part of their family and must be allowed inside—especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a “tie-out” or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced yard.

**All Compassion in Action dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy, a Harrisonburg Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
