Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Indigo is an Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix who is a 4 year old spayed female. She and the other dogs in her home (a Chihuahua and an elderly Labrador) were turned into a high kill shelter for unknown reasons. Lucky for her some dedicated volunteers pulled her from the shelter just in time and she entered rescue. She loves people, but has a slight amount of reserve on first meeting. Indigo gets along well with other dogs and loves small dogs especially.
She is crate and house trained and is working on basic obedience commands. She just thrives on learning new things and strives to please. She is a wonderful candidate for obedience, agility or an all around companion. She would like nothing more than to be with her people and would love to accompany you wherever you go. She seems to get along with cats, but to our knowledge has not lived with them. If you are looking for a dedicated addition to your family, please consider Indigo. Indigo is Heart-worm negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick control and heart-worm prevention.
*** UPDATE! Indigo is surpassing all expectations for success in her obedience class. She graduates in just 2 weeks!! Watch for photos and video from her class. ***
