Taz's Story...
Taz is a silly young orange tabby with white socks and ALL kinds of personality. He loves to relax during the day atop his foster mom's chair so he can help over her shoulder with whatever she is doing. He is always first at the food bowl when he hears the cat food bag open. At bedtime, he gets on the bed for lots of pets and kisses, then sleeps nearby on his own bed, which happens to be on top of the family dog's kennel. He gets along great with the dog and other cats in his foster home, but would be perfectly happy as an only cat.
This animal is fostered in Huntsville, AL. To speak with his foster parents, please email info@FORrescue.net. If you'd like to get things started quickly, complete a non-binding application at www.FORrescue.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taz, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
