Richie's Story...
Richie has the most charming personality!  He is a Labrador mix, about 4.5 months old and a bit over 21 pounds right now.  We expect him to be a medium size dog when fully grown.  Richie is a very social and welcoming dog, getting along with everyone…adults, children, dog and cats!  His sweet personality is very endearing.  Richie has already impressed us with his quick learning ability and he is a very obedient young boy.  Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico, Richie is now available for adoption in either Victoria or Vancouver, BC.  He has been dewormed, vaccinated and neutered.  Now he just need to find his perfect forever family.  If you think that this friendly boy would be a great addition to your family, contact us at info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Richie, a Nanaimo Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Nanaimo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Nanaimo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nanaimo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nanaimo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nanaimo paves the way for another one to be saved.
