My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

About Belle * her adoption is sponsored, no FEE
• Spayed
• Housetrained
• 4.5 years old
• She currently takes medication every day called Proin.
o Proin: As a result of her spay, Belle has been rendered incontinent. (She leaks pee and is not able to help it. She takes ¼ pill of Proin daily which makes this a non-issue. No leakage occurs when she is on this medication.
• Not crated during the days and does well on her own.
• Does well with nail trims and baths. For nail trims she will lay on her back in between your legs and will allow you to file them too.
• Knows the commands: sit, stay, leave it, roll over, shake, high-five

Belle’s Likes
• Sticks, branches, logs- keep plenty in supply!! (she mulches them like a beaver)
• To sleep in bed with you at night
• LOVES car rides- She is an excellent car rider
• Walks and runs
• Fetch with toys or sticks- Knows the command “leave it” if you want her to drop what she is holding
• Snuggles
• Chewing up toys and stuffed animals
• To carry stick with her on her walks
• Making a little hiding spot under the bed
• Chewing on hard plastic toys when excited/anxious
• Hikes/outdoor activities
• Belly rubs
• Sleeping on the couch

Belle’s Dislikes
• Loud noises such as machinery – The sound of the JMU touchdown cannon is usually very scary for her and will cause her to run and hide (We live very close to the university)
• Thunder- She will try to hide under bed or in bath tub, will tremble
• Can become overwhelmed with a high number of house guests and will prefer to hide
• If overwhelmed in general, or if she hears a noise she does not like, she will hide her head behind a couch pillow
