My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness...and then they lie quietly..so warm by your side. Puppies are so pure and vulnerable that you just want to let them know that they're alright and safe in your love.

Cooper, at just about 4 - 5 months old and 18 lbs (estimated to be full grown at about 30 - 35 lbs - a perfect size for hiking as well as couch cuddle time), is being returned to Farfel's Rescue through no fault of his own. Cooper is being rehomed by his current family...however, they are the first to say..He's a perfect dog!.. (confused..we are too!) Cooper is a best friend to the family's young children and is a great choice to join another family with dog-crazy kids who want to incorporate a puppy into their lives that loves everyone and can be a full-time and loyal best friend.

This sweet and engaging Australian Cattle Dog mix is starting out with great energy and amazing behavior! Cooper's current family was loving enough to give him two gifts...children who adore him more than anything and obedience training class (where he absolutely shines!) His new family will be getting a gift with this well-trained and very loving puppy...he absolutely loves (and has had a great experience) with young kids. And Cooper loves to show off his obedience skills...he could easily go on and be very successful in higher level obedience classes.

Cooper is appropriately playful and inquisitive for his young age. We can't imagine a greater gift for a child (or anyone) who's wishing for a new love in their life. Cooper is so smart and very engaging...so typical of his breed mix as well as indicative of the love he's received from the people he's been with.

Cooper has all the potential in the world to continue to be the most awesome companion! He will form firm bonds with his new family (as well as other dogs and humans). We'd like Cooper to continue his obedience education...his potential knows no bounds. He could go on to become a companion or therapy dog that is welcome everywhere his person is. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that is the center of your universe - and that you can count on for great and engaging behavior out in the world.

We're open to Cooper finding his forever home with very active retirees or a younger individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a puppy. Cooper would be a gift to any family that will love him and desire his companionship as a full-time (and so sweet and well-behaved) fuzzy family member.

Cooper is up to date on his vetting and has been neutered and microchipped. He's also a house trained guy who is very respectful of his home and environment. He's just a doll! He'll bring joy to a dog-loving family that is pure love.

Cooper is currently being fostered in the Denver area. If interested in this very sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7711.
