Nena's Story...
Hi there! My name is Nena and I am a two and half year old lab / kelpie mix and I am a petite girl weighing in at about 40 lbs. I am smart, active and very loving. I am tons of fun and extremely loyal. Sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed in the city so I would love a home with a great big backyard or some land where I can run and enjoy the great outdoors. I love to play and go for hikes and and then hang around the house and give snuggles! I have excellent house manners and I am great in my crate and am totally housetrained!
I came all the way from Mexico to find my loving home and I hope to find it soon as I spent over a year in the shelter in Mexico until I finally came to the land of loving doggy homes!!
I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $100

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nena, a Portland Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
