Thelma was rescued by us from a kill shelter along with Louise. They are 1 year old Wire Haired Jack Russell Terriers. The shelter said they were found as strays and it was apparent they'd been on their own for a while. So sad! They are 2 sweet, sweet girls that stayed huddled together when we brought them to our Rescue. As they're realizing they're safe, don't have to scrounge for food and water and are in caring hands, they're beginning to peek out from the safety of their soft bed. When we would first take them on walks, they would just shake and tremble. It was obvious that they've been shooed away because when we would reach out to them, they'd duck their heads away. We've spent lots of time just holding them and telling them they are loved and will not be hurt. Their personalities are beginning to flourish and their curiosity is causing them to sneak peaks from the doorway to see what we're doing in the hallway and what's going on out there. It is so heartwarming to see them becoming the girls they were meant to be. These two are bonded and are each other's security blanket so we want to keep them together. They've been through enough hard times in their little lives without losing their best friend! Are you someone who would be willing to keep these girls together and show them the world IS a beautiful place?
