A SECURE FENCED YARD IS REQUIRED

Hi!  I am Willow...a one year old Tri-color Miniature Border Collie mix growing my adult coat.

I weigh 21 lbs., already spayed, house trained and know to sit for a treat . . .still working on leash training.

I came to KCSR as a Sheltie mix on Valentine's Day.  In the time I have been with my foster mom, they realized I am a Border Collie with all the traits that are associated with my breed.  I am extremely smart, agile, fast and I love to chew, chew, chew!  Favorite chew toys are bully bones, Kong toys, Nyla Bones and my Squeaky Snake that you see in my picture.  I have been crate trained, learning it is my safe zone when I want to be alone.

I enjoy playing with other dogs, find much comfort in their company and their support around strange people.  My foster mom says I am making great progress with people and will gain confidence with patient training and more exposure to the public.  In general, just learning that most everyone is nice.

I would be great in a home with another dog close to my age and size, since playing is important to me.  I require parents who understand the needs of a Border Collie and the high activity level we have.  We are herding dogs that require jobs to do to keep us busy.  I would really be awesome at agility, as I love to jump and run fast.  Please come visit me at Petco on 75th and Metcalf to learn more.
