THEIR STORY: Meet "Zero!" He is a 4 year old English Pointer hound dog. He was on his way back to the shelter for the second time when we stepped in. He was adopted 2 years ago, but when his owner got a new job/home, he couldn't take his pet with him and was going to bring him back to the shelter...errrrr. Wow, Zero did not deserve that. He is the sweetest boy ever! He was just vaccinated (rabies and distemper shot) and tested NEG for heartworms on 4-1-2017.

PERSONALITY: Zero is absolutely amazing. He does exceptionally well with all 3 of my children (ages 5, 3, 2) and gets along well with my 14 year old dog. He is very mellow and does not bark much. He is calm, trusting, and sweet. He loves to be petted and snuggled with . He comes when I call for him and is potty trained. He is well- behaved and has not done anything naughty in my home =)
He would do best in a home without cats. He likes them a lot and would never hurt them, but he is super excited about the furry little creatures. He wants to overly sniff them and when they swat at him he will bark excitedly. If he is out on a leash near a cat he will want to go to that cat! But with training he would do well with them. He also likes squirrels too!
Zero weights 50 pounds and is a tan/white English Pointer. He is a handsome boy!

***Within the first few weeks to a month you will know if the adoption is not working out. At this time we will take the animal back. We don't want to see them given to the Humane Society (which can euthanize upwards of 50 or more cats a day like our local shelter) or left to fend for themselves on the streets. Please never let the humane society be a choice for ANY animal. They rely on us for their well-being******

We are a registered 501c3 non-profit rescue organization located in Volusia County (our main foster homes are in New Smyrna Beach and Port Orange). We do not have a shelter, but rely on foster parents and homes to house our rescued animals. Because of this our adoption times vary and are very flexible.
