Manny is a handsome 3-year-old Rottweiler/Husky (Rottsky) or possibly Rottie Shepherd mix. He is an intelligent, eager-to-please, and loyal boy with a great demeanor. Manny is gentle and patient; he makes a great pillow! Because of his strong and protective breed, Manny needs a dog-savvy owner who can offer him strong leadership. Otherwise he will be 'overly protective' and have reactive behaviors toward unknown dogs/peoples. This can be rectified with appropriate pack leadership.
ADOPTION INFO: Fee of $375 includes neuter, current Rabies/DPPV/Bordetella vaccinations, microchipping, health certificate, boarding, heart worm test, transportation costs from California to Seattle, and any other unforeseen costs/treatment.
ANIMAL HISTORY: Manny was rescued from euthanasia at a high-kill shelter in California. He was fostered with other dogs and cats (did not go well with cats) and then adopted to a family with very young children. While Manny was amazing (AMAZING) with the children, the parents were unable to manage his protectiveness outside of the home particularly on leash. Manny is now looking for a home, with or without kids/dogs, with strong leadership and breed experience to manage his natural instincts and dutiful nature.
