Sugar Ray's Story...

7- week old, Sugar Ray and his brothers, Joey and Frasier are absolutely too cute for words. These beautiful, healthy, playful and affectionate kittens came with their momma into rescue when the landlord became aware of their presence. Momma Sassy, is going back as soon as she is spayed. If you are looking for the purrfect kitten for your family, don't wait. These little fluffy guys won't be around long once word gets out.

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover spay/neutering, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, micro-chipping, and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50.

Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar Ray, a Flint HIll Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Flint HIll, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Flint HIll.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flint HIll already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flint HIll breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flint HIll paves the way for another one to be saved.
