Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.

JUDE is an all around awesome dog! He was named after St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The name suits him perfectly as he is fabulous with children. He is gentle with small children, but will also play with older kids. JUDE shares his foster home with a large adult dog and a small senior dog who he gets along with wonderfully. He coexists with the 2 resident kitties. JUDE is happy to be wherever you are and can adapt to most any situation. If you are watching tv or working in your office, he is content to lounge around with you. If you want to go for a hike or another pup wants to play in the yard JUDE will be thrilled to do either! He knows not to potty inside and doesn't chew things that aren't his. He also walks very nicely on a leash. This gorgeous boy is 2.5 years old and around 50 lbs. We think JUDE will be happiest in a home with another dog. His forever family is going to be blessed to call this good natured guy their own.

JUDE is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes his interstate health certificate and cost of transport to the Midwest once he is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
