Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
OLIVE is a perfect, low key little princess. She loves to lounge anywhere soft and cozy. She likes to stroll around the back yard and soak up the sun. She is elated when her foster mom takes her for walks and friendly with the pups she meets throughout the neighborhood. OLIVE is such a trustworthy girl she gets free reign of her castle while her foster mom is at work. She says "princesses's don't make messes." OLIVE is about 2 years old and weighs 52 lbs. She walks nicely on a leash and is a terrific passenger in the car. She is endlessly affectionate and a constant companion. She would most likely be happiest in a home where she doesn't have to share the attention with another dog. If you are searching the kingdom for a princess, OLIVE is for you!
OLIVE is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccinations.
Her $300 adoption fee includes transport to Nashville once she is adopted.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
